Salon Policies
Booking & Deposits
To secure your appointment at Salon Shade, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service cost is required at the time of booking. Appointments are only confirmed once the deposit has been successfully received. If you are considering any colour change, you must contact the salon prior to booking to ensure the correct service is scheduled. Failure to do so may result in your appointment being rescheduled or additional charges on the day. Deposits are non-refundable, however, they are transferable under certain conditions. Please refer to our Transfer & Salon Credit policy for further information.
Confirmation
A confirmation text message will be sent 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment to the mobile number provided at the time of booking. You are required to confirm your appointment via text message within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation. A reminder will also be sent to your email; however, appointment confirmations must be made via text only. Email replies are not monitored for confirmations. Failure to confirm within the 24-hour window will result in immediate cancellation of your appointment and forfeiture of your deposit. A new deposit will be required to secure any future bookings. Please ensure your contact details are accurate and that you respond promptly to avoid cancellation.
Cancellations
All appointment cancellations must be communicated within 24 hours of receiving your confirmation text message. If you notify us within this 24-hour window, your deposit may be transferred to an alternative appointment. Cancellations made after the 24-hour window will result in the forfeiture of your deposit, and a new deposit will be required to rebook. Future appointments cannot be scheduled until any outstanding deposit matters are resolved.
Transfers and Salon Credit
Deposits are transferable one time only. If you need to reschedule your appointment and transfer your deposit, please notify us within the required timeframes. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled appointment, your deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to book any future appointments.
No Shows & Late Arrival
We have a strict no-show policy, and the full cost of the scheduled service will be charged for any missed appointments without prior notification. Outstanding balances must be settled before booking future appointments. Please ensure you arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive 15 minutes or more past your scheduled time, we may need to modify or shorten your service to accommodate other clients; however, the original service price will still apply. We understand that emergencies do arise, and extreme circumstances will be taken into consideration on a case-by-case basis.
Change of service
Any change of service must be requested within 24 hours of receiving your confirmation text in order to be considered. While we understand that you may have a change of heart on the day of your appointment, requests made after this 24-hour window will not be granted. Please note that all change of service requests are subject to approval, and in some cases, they may be declined due to operational constraints. If you do not attend your appointment, your account will be charged the full amount owed.
Arrival
Upon arrival, if you see another client is still present, I kindly ask that you wait in your car. While we strive to run on schedule, occasional delays can happen; clients will be notified whenever possible. Parking is available in the carport or on the street verge. Kindly be mindful that the driveway is shared with the neighboring house.
